A representative of MinerGate confirmed that the Android application with over a million of users was removed from Google Play, though it was fully compliant with the latest Policy.

With the update of the Google Play Store Developer policy, almost every crypto mining app for different devices was banned. The policy that was released on July 27 prohibits to install direct mining apps to protect from malware and sustain hardware since August 27.

At the same time, the applications that allow managing crypto mining remotely outside the device were not banned. This data made MinerGate to update the app on August 21 to sustain a consensus between the app and Google Play. But it has not prevented MinerGate with the regular number of users that emcee 1.5 million people to be deleted from the Store on August 29.

It is very important for crypto mining industry to adhere to the rules of application stores if they want to be adopted by masses.

However, the team has not agreed with this decision and continued to negotiate with Google Play as for the return of the app to the Store. Current users can download both MG Mobile and MG Mobile Miner of MinerGate on its website.

To conclude, it is necessary to say that not only MinerGate was deleted from the Store recently. Anti-cryptocurrency measures have also influenced such famous giants as China’s Tencent, Baidu and Alibaba.
