On Thursday, September 27, TRON, a decentralized web startup, had a press release and shared news about the bid of integration with BitTorrent. The original plan of integration was announced two months ago and now there are new facts mentioned.
BitTorrent was purchased by TRON in July and now a startup is looking for ways how to use
TRX token within all the users of the platform in order to get a hybrid ecosystem for sharing content and cryptocoins leveraging.
According to the release, every change will be performed as an extension for backward compatible protocol.
Justin Sun, a CEO of the startup, added that the speed of downloads would be increased, there would be a bigger number of seeds and mining would be absent. The goal of the project is to allow content writers and their groups avoid middleman and share their content directly with users.
The following arrangement will let users make up token incentives if they want to get some premium features. People who will not stop seeding torrent files even when the downloads are completed will get additional tokens too.
The following project will join other ways to incorporate crypto coins such as Kim Dotcom’s Bitcache renowned for BitCoin. TRON also planned to show other features of Atlas on September 28.
BitTorrent was created by Bram Cohen who soon transferred to another company at Chia and it led to the crash of business in 2017.
