Nearly 80 Percent of Crypto Event Attendees Are Male

Bizzabo firm announced on January 28 that men attend crypto events much more often than women – 79% vs 21%.

The firm has analyzed people who have registered for a hundred different events devoted to the crypto theme in several countries. The results received by the firm showed that men visit such events predominantly. The following survey was conducted taking into account crypto events that took place in the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, China, Belgium, Israel etc.

57% of the registered people were connected with the financial sphere, while the rest of the registrants worked in such industries as Informational Technology (14%), computer software (13%), banks (10%), and others. According to Alon Alroy, one of Bizzabo founders, who commented on this information, the domination of male gender is felt in the tech industry and the crypto world is not an exception.

He explains the lack of women by the number of industries where most of the registrants are employed.

The most recent report was called Gender Diversity and Inclusion in Events and was suggested to the public in fall 2018. According to it, 70% of people who prepared speeches at the events in such countries as the USA, the UK, and Canada were men. The analysis of that study allowed to make the conclusion that the biggest number of female speakers is in the USA – 35%.

Another research on the gender of cryptocurrency investors was conducted by crypto companies. Circle, a company that operates in the finance industry, has provided results of the study conducted in September 2018. According to it, 25% of millennial females made investments in crypto too.

A popular British cryptocurrency exchange Block Exchange has offered another report in summer. It says that the number of females who are thinking about investing in cryptocurrency has increased by two for one year.
